Beijing Recommends 16 Hong Kong Civil Servants to UN Roles, Highest Number to Date Beijing has recommended 16 Hong Kong civil servants for roles in United Nations agencies under the Junior Professional Officer (JPO) scheme.
This represents the largest cohort from the city sent under this program, surpassing previous numbers in both 2019 and 2023.
The selected officers come from diverse backgrounds, hailing from 13 different grades and departments, including customs, police, and the anti corruption agency.
